Jaret Loggenberg

Jaret Loggenberg

Born in 1994 and raised on a farm outside Parys, South Africa, Jaret Loggenberg discovered her passion for art and culture at the young age of ten. In 2010, she sold her first painting, which enabled her to participate in an art tour across Europe, an experience that profoundly influenced her artistic journey. After matriculating, Jaret Loggenberg followed her father’s advice and pursued a BCom degree, as he was concerned that a career in art would not provide a sustainable income.

Despite this practical path, Loggenberg remained deeply inspired by the human body and anatomy. Countless hours of research in the library led her to discover her profound love for the human form, particularly the female figure. She focuses on capturing the essence of the female form, its grace, strength, vulnerability, and complexity.

Over years of painting, Loggenberg developed a distinctive brushstroke technique characterized by thick impasto layers of oil paint, which has become a hallmark of her work. She prefers oil as her medium of choice, appreciating its ability to convey clear emotional messages while remaining open to individual interpretation. Her art is characterized by expressive strokes and warm, natural tones that reflect the emotion and inner radiance of women.

For Jaret Loggenberg, art is not about being the best but about continuous growth. She actively pursues improvement by attending various art workshops, refining her craft through ongoing exploration and dedication.

Through her work, Loggenberg explores the universal experiences of women across cultures and backgrounds. She believes that women around the world face similar discrimination and stereotypes, and through her art, an unspoken, universal language, she seeks to inspire resilience, empowerment, and healing. She aims to share light and hope through her work, using art as an emotional language shaped by music, which plays a vital role in her creative process. “It doesn’t matter what has happened to us in the past, we should rise and take back life. We are not victims, but victors.”

Jaret Loggenberg has exhibited extensively in South Africa and across Europe. Her work has been featured in numerous exhibitions held by The Travelling Art Gallery, including Berlin, Munich, Hamburg, Palma de Mallorca, Spain, Frankfurt, Kassel, Kitzbuehel and New York.

In 2023, she presented her first solo exhibition at Avontuur Wine Estate in South Africa, fulfilling her wish to debut a solo exhibition in her home country. In May 2025, she held her first international solo exhibition at the South African Embassy in Berlin, marking a significant milestone in her global journey.

In 2023, Jaret Loggenberg co-founded The Artists Gallery in Cape Town, creating a platform dedicated to showcasing contemporary South African artists and connecting audiences with meaningful art. She now exhibits in South Africa exclusively through the gallery, continuing to share her powerful visual narratives with collectors locally and abroad.
